Level was inspired by the mechanics and structure of the pituitary gland, the home of many hormones in the brain. The levels represent the hormones inside the gland that are at constant struggle to remain regular and consistent. In this sculpture when one level is turned to become balanced, the other level is forced to swivel. At no given point in time will the two levels ever be balanced simultaneously.
