School Days | Oil & Wax | $200 12" x 18"
“School days” is a combination of oil paint and wax. “School Days” is a metaphor to the deterioration of the public school system, due to the elimination of the creative arts. The boy in the painting, is the fighter, and represents the voice of the children, however cannot be heard. His mouth has been wiped away and he screams behind glass. The school system continues to cut important programs from school every year. Money loudly roars, and children are left with no voices. This is a quiet battle for our children and our future.
